Our Post is named in memory of SSgt. Guy E. Shelley Jr., 26, of New Cumberland, PA. SSgt Shelley and eight other airmen were lost in April of 1943 when their B-24D Liberator, named ‘Lady Be Good’, went down about 400 miles south of the Mediterranean in the Libyan Desert. It wasn’t until February 1959 that the ‘Lady Be Good’ and some of her crew were found. The search continued through 1960 when all but one of the bodies were recovered. The Post was originally located at 200 Old York Road. As membership grew, we purchased our current location at 352 Marsh Run Road and have been here ever since. We have, throughout the years, expanded our organization to include the Ladies Auxiliary, S.A.L, Legion Riders and a Home Association.

Lovingly referred to as ‘The Swamp’, our Post boasts some of the best facilities in this ‘neck of the woods’. Please look around our site and see for yourself.
